CropLife Foundation 2011 Sustainability Tour - January

This January the CropLife Foundation launched the 2011 Sustainability Tour! Featuring Crop Protection Research Institute Director Leonard Gianessi, the Sustainability Tour is the launch of CLF's newest presentation.

Wrapping up the second major trip of the 2011 Sustainability tour was a visit with FFA staffers in Indianapolis and the offices of Dow AgroSciences. The FFA staff was especially interested in the presentation and discussed circulating materials to local magnet schools and college FFA chapters.

Growmark and the Illinois Farm Bureau

Following a successful presentation at the Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association Convention, Leonard brought his presentation to the Illinois Farm Bureau and Growmark. Both groups were interested in the Talk and offered to help with Leonard's presentation in April to Illinois State University.

It was at the IFCA 2011 that Leonard gave the second presentation of Sustainability of Modern Farming: The Importance of Herbicides. The presentation was well received by the capacity crowd.

Winter Conference And Trade Show
Lansing, Michigan

At the annual Michigan Agribusiness Association (MABA) conference, to a full house of attendees, Leonard gave the inaugural presentation of the 2011 Sustainability Tour. Over 200 audience members packed the room to hear Leonard describe the history of modern farming and the importance of maintaining our current technologies. The Talk was very well received and Leonard even received offers to return soon to speak to the Michigan Legislature and Michigan State University students.
