Dr. Douglas T. Nelson
President, CropLife Foundation

Doug Nelson has served as President of the CropLife Foundation since 2002 and also serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of CropLife America. Prior to joining CropLife America and the CropLife Foundation, Dr. Nelson practiced law at Unilever United States, Union Carbide Corporation, and the law firms of Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison and Coudert Brothers in New York.

Mr. Allan Noe
Vice President, Development and Secretary, CropLife Foundation

In his role as head of development, Allan Noe is responsible for identifying and pursuing funding support for the Foundation and its activities. He has served as vice president of development since 2006 and is also Director of Special Projects for CropLife America. Prior to joining CropLife America in 1992, Mr. Noe headed the Washington, DC, government relations offices for Unilever United States, Chesebrough-Ponds and Stauffer Chemical Company. He also worked in public affairs for Du Pont in Wilmington, DE.

Mr. Noe has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and a Masters of Science in Public Relations from West Virginia University.

Mr. Leonard Gianessi
Director, Crop Protection Research Institute

Leonard Gianessi has served as Director of the Crop Protection Research Institute since the Institute's creation in January, 2004. Prior to joining CPRI Leonard spent 10 years as a Senior Research Associate at the National Center for Food and Agricultural Policy and 14 years as a Fellow with Resources For the Future. During his tenure at NCFAP and RFF Mr. Gianessi became an expert on pesticide use and agricultural biotechnology for pest management. He has been widely published on issues of pesticide policy, regulation, and use data and agricultural biotechnology and his pesticide use database, the National Pesticide Use Database, remains the only national, comprehensive, publicly available pesticide use database for the United States. Mr. Gianessi has testified before several U.S. House committees, the North Dakota Interim Agricultural Committee, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Mr. Gianessi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Affairs from George Washington University.

Ms. Kristin Rury
Staff Assistant, CropLife Foundation

Prior to joining the Foundation in January 2008, Ms. Rury worked as the Administrative Assistant to the CropLife America Science and Regulatory Affairs department.  She provided key staff support to many issues including endocrine disruption, inert ingredients, container recycling, and tariff reduction.  Ms. Rury moved to the CLA Legal Department and CropLife Foundation as a Project Manager in 2008.  Ms. Rury holds a B.S. degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from St. Lawrence University in New York.  During her tenure at St. Lawrence, Ms. Rury conducted independent research on an aquatic invasive species and interned in the local Environmental Planning and Environmental Health Departments.  She spent one semester living in Copenhagen, Denmark studying marine biology, and conducting research on the water quality of Italy through an awarded grant. 
 
Ms. Rury is currently a Masters Candidate in the Environmental Health Program at The George Washington University School of Public Health.
