On February 2, 2009 Leonard Gianessi, director, CPRI, debuted his newest presentation, Benefits and Trends of Insecticide Use in California Crops, to the American Society of Agronomy at their annual Plant and Soil Conference in Fresno, California. This presentation provides an examination of the historical record documenting the importance of insecticides in California in preventing crop losses due to destructive insect and mite species.
